Circles Exclusive - MKS Brass & Black Painted Brass Gordito Pedals!
This is a custom model that Circles has spent three years developing with MKS crafting the side plates of their iconic pedals from brass.
Unlike anodising or electroplating, the black paint gradually wears off with use, revealing the raw brass beneath. The exposed brass will oxidise, gradually "tarnishing" and depending on the environment, you may even see verdigris (greenish corrosion). This allows each user to enjoy a unique aging process.
The Raw model features side plates made from untreated brass, which will tarnish over time with use. However, you can also enjoy the process of polishing it to bring out a new shine.
The Sylvan Gordito pedals have the same width (94mm) as the MKS Sylvan Touring, but with a longer length (85mm), making for a large platform. This design not only offers a comfortable and stable riding experience for those who prefer a larger pedal but is also perfect for those with bigger feet.
In this custom version, the typical Sylvan Gordito is replaced with a black body, achieving an all-black pedal with black paint.
The aluminum body is built around a cup & cone bearing system that is hand-adjusted for durability and smooth rotation. Maintenance is possible with a dedicated cap wrench.

Note: MKS adjusts the ball bearings with slight preload to extend the period before readjustment is needed. This tightness is called "preload." After some use, the pedals will become smoother as they break in.
