Support light loads and handlebar bags with the exquisitely crafted NF-22 front rack from Nitto. Hand-brazed and sturdy, the NF-22 mounts to most bikes with Cantilever/V-brakes and a drilled fork crown.
Norton (AKA Royal Norton) was a Japanese bicycle wholesaler and custom bicycle manufacturer - The NF / NR for these lovely bag supports refers to Norton Front or Norton Rear.
Co-designed by Norton and NITTO, then manufactured by NITTO for the Royal Norton Bicycle range back when 700c wheels didn't even exist! Norton X NITTO could well be the first collaboration NITTO ever did......
Norton had been running for over 60 years and specialised in made to order touring, road, sportive, Audax / Randonneur machines, later doing a few batch handmade models for his shop.
Unfortunately due to various circumstances, including the retirement of the head builder, Jaku - The company has now gone out of business.
It features two side braze-ons to mount lights and a front mudguard mount.
Front Canti/V-brake mount only - With threaded bar for fork crown. If your fork crown is threaded, this rack will not work.
NITTO recommend as a bag support only.
27 x 1-1/4 and 700c wheel only.
Comes with mount bolts.
Platform size - 85mm x 170mm.
Tombstone - 100mm.
Centre to centre boss (brake stud) bolt hole measurement - 70mm.
Mounting this rack to Paul Component brakes requires the use of Paul's special rack bolts and spacers, which can be found here.
