Product Overview
Almost one century ago in 1920, Yasujiro Tange founded a company that would become one the most iconic in the bicycle industry. He gave this company his family name and made it famous the world over.
Tange first produced forks and CrMo frame tubes which quickly became renowned for its high quality and Japanese craftsmanship. In the golden ages of CrMo bikes Tange was considered the best tubing by big bike brands and frames builders alike.
Today, CrMo is coming back and the new generation of the Tange family decided to pay tribute to the man who wrote history by creating their own bike brand called Yasujiro. Yasujiro aims to show the way for modern CrMo bikes, a perfect combination of tradition and modernity for cyclists who want to (re) discover the unique taste of rinding steel.
Tange 800c CrMo MTB forks! Bit of an odd here as these are 26" only with a unicrown 1" threadless steerer which is 230mm long.
JIS
Cantilever or V-Brake can be used.
Centre of axle to beginning of crown is 360mm.
Basically if you have a late 80's or early to mid 90's MTB that needs a threadless rigid fork this is it! And if not, a Cane Creek 1" threadless headset could be fitted and then shim down a 1 1/8th stem to modernise the front end and cockpit.
Please be aware the Cane Creek headsets are ISO and the crown race on these forks are JIS. A decent bike shop will be able to file the crown race on the forks if needed.
Unfortunately during shipping of these forks they have taken some very minor damage. This damage is a slight paint chip on the drive-side and some have it on the left too. The chip is minor and doesn't reach bare metal.
But this means you can grab a deal! We are offering them at a discounted price of £30.
